Fiesta of Galician Tourist Interest. Every August 31, and for 260 years, this pilgrimage takes place in the town of Bealo, where the patron saint of the parturients is worshiped.
The esplanade where the pilgrimage is celebrated is a place of celebrations from time immemorial. One of the evidences that leads to this conclusion is the existence of several engravings in great rocks that are to few meters of the hermitage. One of these engravings is serpent-shaped, a symbol of fertility thousands of years ago. That is why, every year, dozens of women ask San Ramón a son. If you visit this enclave on August 31, you will see that there is a fusion of Catholic tradition with the spirit of the ancient pagan cults.
